Somebody on a FB group asked the question about routing a signal through a plug-in in their digital audio workstation or DAW. Then, 1/2 through the chain, send that signal somewhere else (another pedal), bring that signal back in to finish processing it, send it one more time to some outboard gear and then bring it back in to record it.
This was the only configuration that I can currently think that might work and my explaination.
I have BiasFX and I don't know if you could interrupt the signal chain like that. (That would be cool to be able to drop in a Boss LS-2-type pedal for routing.) You can have BiasFX running on multiple tracks and do something like shown in the illustration provided your interface has enough inputs and outputs and your computer is powerful enough.
I personally have a 4i4 3rd Gen and I send the signal to outboard gear and then bring it back in to mix with the original as I need it.
I can't tell you what your latency would be like. Hopefully, there is a smarter solution than the one I am proposing.
Good luck.
